CKO International have an ever increasing range of OEM style parking sensor systems suitable for most vehicles. This page will give you an overview of the current products we offer.
Reversing sensor systems provide a warning to the driver acoustically against obstacles, which are detected through the device. The functional principle is based on the ultrasonic echo-transit time method. Parking sensors are equipped with emitters and receivers of ultrasonic signals. The distance from the obstacle is calculated through the transit of time and then is indicated by the sequence of pulse tones through the speaker. The closer the obstacle, the faster the sequence of tones.

RS-4-18-R-I - Intelligent Parking Sensors
RS-4-18-R-I consists of:

When the vehicle is put into reverse the system will scan all objects and memorise the size and distance of the objects.
When the vehicle starts to move the system checks if the memorised objects are moving or not.
If the objects are moving then they are obstacles, if they remain still they are on the vehicle.
The system scans every time that it is put into reverse, if you remove the tow bar then the systems will still work, as it will if you were to re attach it.
The size of the permanent addition (like a tow bar) on the vehicle does not matter. There are limitations on the shape. The sensors may not cope with complex objects that give more than 3 reflections due to the memory size limit in the sensors.
Spare wheels should not be a problem.
Bike racks may cause a problem and have not been tested with the system.
The system has a self testing function after being powered up. If all sensors are functioning then it will beep once, otherwise it will beep 3 times to indicate that there is a problem.
